OMG! The Star Wars Holiday Special is 30!

Some of you might know that I have an almost unhealthy fascination with everything Star Wars.  In fact, I’m on the board of trustees for the Emperor’s Hammer, a non-profit corporation dedicated to everything Star Wars game related.

As such, I get the LucasArts ProbeDroid Newsletter, sent from starwars.com.  This week they have a whole section about the massive failboat that was the Starwars Holiday Special.  You can read about it here.

For those of you that don’t remember or aren’t old enough, the Holiday Special aired ONCE.  Chewie goes home, you meet Lumpy the wookie and Boba Fett ruins everyone holiday.  What could be better than this!!!!

There is a ton of information about the show, including some video.  Rumor has it that George has said this show will never ever air again.  You can, however, find it on youtube.
